Easy Turkey Burgers and Hand-Cut Fries
There are easy ways to infuse flavor without adding fat to your turkey burgers.
One of my favorite tricks is making a sauce from sautéed shallots and garlic. I use avocado oil to lightly brown chopped shallots and garlic, then put the mixture in a blender with salt, pepper and fresh herbs (oregano, parsley, rosemary, thyme).
When the mixture cools, I mix it into my burger meat. This will add a TON of flavor and help keep the meat moist.
The best side dish to burgers? Fries… but I like to hand cut and roast my fries:
- 4 medium – organic – red potatoes
- slice lengthwise 3 times – then cut each slice into 3 fries
- toss with olive oil, Old Bay, and a pinch of garlic salt
- Roast in a 400 degree oven, turning every 8 minutes until perfectly cut
Grill up some veggies to round out this meal and add additional nutrition!
Love & yum,
